Introduction To Bigger Hearts, Deeper Minds

I want to thank you for checking out the show. This show was born out of something deep in my heart and mind–no pun intended. 🙂 I wanted to create a podcast that could speak to political issues as well as cultural and societal issues. And I realized that there weren’t enough shows out there that are speaking to all the different angles that I wanted to see a show speak to. I realized I had to just do it myself. So that’s really what allowed me to create Bigger Hearts, Deeper Minds.

What The Show Will Cover

As the name implies, I don’t want to tackle things just from an intellectual perspective or purely from an emotional or societal one. There’s a lot of content out there. There’s so much more happening in our world than has ever happened before. To me, it’s extremely important to tackle crucial issues from all different angles; all different viewpoints. This includes considering what different publications have to say on a particular issue, breaking down what’s happening, and bringing the journalism back to journalism.

Journalism And News Aren’t Honest Anymore

I think most people can agree that in today’s media landscape, journalists aren’t really giving you the news. They’re really just giving you what their bosses have told them to say, or some sort of agenda that they are otherwise peddling to you. And they’re not really giving you just the cold, hard facts anymore. We need to be able to do that in order to have an honest discussion about what’s going on in our world today and evaluate issues.

Taking The Discussion Beyond Politics

Another thing that I think is extremely important is we can’t just look at things through a purely political lens. We have to consider what does the average person think about this? How does religion or other societal forces impact this? Where are the overlaps between all of these different pieces of the puzzle and things like that? So if any of that sounds interesting to you, you’re probably in the right place.

Upcoming Interviews To Look For

I’m going to be interviewing authors, political leaders, cultural leaders, community leaders, all different kinds of people. Artists, musicians, podcast hosts, video makers, content creators, all different kinds of people, because it’s impossible to really see what our world looks like and all the different perspectives that comprise our world without this kind of authentic, real diversity and breadth of perspective.

It’s going to be a wild ride. I hope that you stick with me throughout everything. This won’t be the typical podcast or show where we just stick to a sort of broad topic. It won’t be just the news or just religion or just cultural forces. It’s going to be all of the above.
